My Diabetes My Way: January 2016 Update

Welcome to the My Diabetes My Way January 2016 Newsletter.

MDMW Receives Funding for 2016

We are pleased to report that My Diabetes My Way has received funding to continue further development and rollout during 2016. In addition to providing publically available diabetes related educational material, over 7,500 patients have now accessed their diabetes records using this service. Recent analyses have shown that results such as HbA1c, weight and blood pressure improve following use of MDMW. Patients also report improved knowledge of diabetes and motivation to manage it effectively.

Diabetes Scotland Local Groups

Diabetes Scotland is a leading charity for people with diabetes. They provide information, help and peer support so that people with diabetes can manage their condition effectively. Diabetes Scotland co-ordinates local groups that are run voluntarily by people living with diabetes. These groups offer information, support and also provide a way to meet other people who live with diabetes. If you would like more information about local groups in Scotland please email scotland@diabetes.org.uk

Best wishes for 2016.
