Free Online Course for Type 2 Diabetes
It's now one week until #understandingtype2 is launched. This is a free 2-day eLearning course that will run over the 28th & 29th of April. The course is provided by MyWay Digital Health and developed in collaboration with the University of Dundee and the University of Edinburgh. It aims to help you understand and control Type 2 diabetes. Register your interest at the following link https://ut2.mydiabetes.com/

Login Issues Resolved
As we have reported in previous newsletters, we were aware of a problem that was temporarily preventing some users from successfully logging in to My Diabetes My Way. We have been working with the myaccount team and are happy to report that the issue has now been resolved. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused. If you continue to have problems accessing your records, please contact our support team at mydiabetesmyway@nhs.net

New Registrations for Records Access
Due to the current situation with Coronavirus, it is taking us longer to create new enrolment packs and send out registration paperwork. If you have registered since lockdown was announced (23rd March) and are yet to receive your forms to sign, please bear with us as we are currently processing these in batches every two weeks. We are now happy for you to email us back a photo or scanned copy of your signed form to avoid any further delays.

Diabetes and Ramadan

Ramadan 2020 will begin on the evening of Thursday 23rd April and ends on the evening of Saturday 23rd May. If you decide to fast during the month of Ramadan and you use insulin or tablets for diabetes treatment, it is advised you seek advice from your health care team, due to the long hours of daylight in summer months.  Some useful information to help prevent hypo (low) or hyper (high) glycaemia (glucose in the blood) is available via the link below.
