New Awareness Video
We have recently completed a new video to raise awareness of My Diabetes My Way. It describes the main features that the service offers, including information on all aspects of diabetes, structured learning courses that you can work through at your own pace and access to your diabetes records. Free Online Course for Ramadan
MyWay Digital Health are hosting a free online course on 'Diabetes and Ramadan', opening on 19th February 2024. The course is available to anyone, no matter where they live, and offers a supportive shared learning experience for anyone interested in learning to manage diabetes during Ramadan. Free Online Diabetes Course for Type 1 Diabetes
MyWay Digital Health are also hosting a free online course on 'Understanding Type 1 diabetes' between 28th February and 4th March. The course is a supportive eLearning experience for everyone with type 1 diabetes and those who care for them, including family, friends and healthcare professionals. You will receive a personalised certificate on completion and have access to live Question and Answer sessions with diabetes experts.
Smoking and Diabetes
If you smoke, giving up is one of the best things you can do for your health. Smoking is the biggest cause of preventable deaths and one in two smokers will die from a smoking-related disease. It’s well known that smoking causes diseases such as cancer, heart disease and respiratory conditions such as COPD or asthma, but what effect does it have on diabetes or your risk of developing diabetes?
