My Diabetes My Way: May 2020 Update

Welcome to the My Diabetes My Way Newsletter for May 2020.

Coronavirus – Advice for People Living with Diabetes
We are continuing to maintain a dedicated page on My Diabetes My Way where you can read the latest guidance on Coronavirus and find links to information from NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government. The page was last updated based on the Scottish Government advice that applies from 29th May – to find out more, please see the following link: https://www.mydiabetesmyway.scot.nhs.uk/Content.aspx?id=231

Join Up Your Fitbit Data
While we continue to experience lockdown restrictions, it is important to remain active if you can. Last year we developed a link within My Diabetes My Way that allows you to connect your Fitbit (www.fitbit.com) activity tracker data. If you have a Fitbit device, log in to My Diabetes My Way and select "My Services". You can then link your Fitbit account and connect your Fitbit records. When you do this, you will see a new section named "My Activity" where you can monitor your steps, heart rate and many other Fitbit measurements.

You can read more about activity and exercise on the following pages: https://www.mydiabetesmyway.scot.nhs.uk/ContentResourceList.aspx?id=19

Due to the current situation with Coronavirus, it is taking us longer to collect mail, create new enrolment packs and send out registration paperwork. We are currently processing enrolment packs in batches every two weeks, but we are now happy for you to email us back a photo or scanned copy of your signed form to avoid any further delays.
