Since these videos were recorded dietary advice has changed. Current advice is to drink no more than 14 units of alcohol weekly for both men and women, and to reduce the carbohydrate on your plate from half to nearer a quarter of the plate. Chocolate has a low glycaemic index and should be avoided when treating a hypo, unless no other carbohydrate is available.
